A delightful mix of
of hopping tunes and comedic
genius.(PBS FM)
An unusual release
this one, with a feel
not unlike The Pogues
throughout, sporting 8
tracks along the length
of the ep with a sort
of 'folkish' style for
want of a better term
to the sounds here. There
are a few gems as well,
with a sense of humour
also showing it's head.
The opening song "Improvise"
is one of the early picks
here, with an unusual
pacing & an equally
different vocal style,
a couple of others such
as "Sweet Charity"
& "Smoke"
certainly showcasing a
fairly diverse range.
The band's sense of humour
here really shows up in
the brilliant 10 second
closing track simply titled
"This Song",
which I reckon is excellent.

I had no idea what
to expect from this CD
- I had just rocked up
at the office one morning
(slightly hung-over) and
put it in the CD player.
The most hilarious hour
of my life followed, but
be warned - my sense of
humour is unique. However,
if like me, you are slightly
bent in your perceptions
of what others wrongfully
label reality, you are
sure to enjoy this CD.
Being politically
incorrect is something
everyone is having a take
at these days: Man Bites
God are in a league of
their own. I just wish
my vivid imagination didn't
readily lend images to
some of their lyrics.
